Cranbury, New Jersey – February 29, 2012 – IHSE USA, LLC is now shipping their new line of fiber optic and mini-HD-BNC video option cards for the Draco Tera 288, 160, 80 and 48 port matrix switchers. This new line of SDI compliant option cards are designed to provide flexible and cost effective solutions for broadcast television applications based on SMPTE 259, 292, and 424 standards. These option cards can be configured with fiber SFP or coax SFP modules that automatically recognize and support 3G-SDI, HD-SDI and SD-SDI signals. The Draco Tera SDI option cards provide up to 8 input ports and 8 output ports per card.
The Draco Tera frame comes in four model sizes supporting SDI video formats – the Tera series 288 allowing up to 144X144 SDI in 13 RU, the Tera series 160 allowing up to 80X80 in 9 RU, the Tera series 80 allowing up to 40X40 in 4 RU and the Tera series 48 allowing up to 24X24 in 3 RU. Each Draco Tera ships pre-assembled and fully tested to provide installers complete confidence for worry-free installations. Partially loaded systems can be expanded in the field by simply adding the additional I/O card.
The switch frames offer a unique modular design to give any combination of coax or fiber optic connections. The optional SDI I/O cards feature four styles to fit any installation. With a unique SFP card cage design, users can configures systems for mini HD-BNC coaxial for SD/HD-SDI, mini HD-BNC coaxial for 3G-SDI, LC singlemode and multi-mode fiber for SD/HD-SDI and LC singlemode and multi-mode fiber for 3G-SDI.
Each Draco Tera includes control options via RS-232 or Ethernet. Configuration and diagnostics can easily be managed through a JAVA™ application, or a third party control system such as AMX or Crestron. Built around the need for true 24/7 reliability, the Draco Tera allows for quick hot swap cards and power supplies.
Visitors to NAB will also be able to see new offerings for SD/HD/3G-SDI video routing, USB 2.0 high speed embedded extenders, and Draco tera’s specialized SFP modules for long distance fiber connections and mini HD-BNC options. IHSE USA experts will be available at booth SL10724 to demonstrate these products as well as assist with any new or existing project requirements.
