Visix Exhibits New Power Over Ethernet Room Sign, Latest AxisTV and Announce Software, and Leads Educational Roundtables at Digital Signage Expo 2011
Posted on Tuesday, February 22, 2011
ATLANTA, GA – February 22, 2011 – Visix, Inc., a leading digital signage software provider, will participate in this year’s Digital Signage Expo educational conferences and exhibit new versions of its interactive room signs and digital signage software for organizational communications in corporate, education and healthcare markets.
Sean Matthews, President of Visix, will lead lunch-and-learn roundtables for Educational Facilities on February 23 and 24, from 12:30 to 1:30 PM. The session topic is “Campus Alerts: Incorporating Digital Signage in Your Crisis Communications Plan”, and will cover real-world crisis communication strategies, consideration for CAP (Common Alert Protocol) compliant products, and using triggers to activate a variety of communication outlets in the event of a campus emergency. Key learning objectives include:
  • Utilizing digital signage in the event of a crisis
  • Types of information to be communicated
  • Defining responsibilities for creating and distributing alert communications to digital endpoints
“We’re excited to participate in roundtable discussions with education buyers at the show. This affords us a great opportunity to dialogue about important issues facing our customers and the digital signage industry,” says Matthews. “DSE is a great event for Visix to exhibit our products and this year we’re highlighting interactivity, wayfinding, enhanced creation tools and ease of workflows in our software products. It’s a great forum for us to learn what clients want in digital signage content management so that we can incorporate that feedback into our development plans.”
Visix booth 1232 will exhibit their MeetingMinder™ room signs and the latest versions of both AxisTV and Announce digital signage software. The company will premier their new Power over Ethernet (PoE) room sign, an interactive 15-inch LCD that can be surface mounted or recessed in walls. The PoE solution allows clients to run one Ethernet cable to the room sign to supply both power and data, thereby addressing concerns of both physical concealment and AC proximity for room sign power bricks.
The latest version of AxisTV, version.7.1, includes a large number of new feature enhancements for a significantly improved user experience. Notable items of the update are expansions to the CAP Compliant Mass Alert Notification feature and improved integration with various scheduling applications. Visix will also demonstrate their new Announce content management software, which enters Beta testing this month.
The Digital Signage Expo is being held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, February 22 through 25.
