PureLink Adds Portable Test Pattern Generator to its HDMI 2.0 Offerings

PureLink, an established manufacturer of UHD video connectivity solutions for both the commercial and residential A/V markets, announced today the availability of their HDG 2.0 test pattern generator and signal analyzer. This new product is HDMI 2.0 compliant, and is able to analyze signals in a full range of resolutions up to Ultra HD/4K60 with 4:4:4 color format support. It enables A/V professionals to conduct pre-installation checks, on-site verification testing, and calibration of audio and video systems.

PureLink is rapidly becoming known as the source for dedicated HDMI 2.0 solutions. Their expanded line of 18Gbps components includes switchers, amplifiers, equalizers, scalers and extenders. All of these devices offer the expanded bandwidth necessary for UHD quality signal management and deliver a more seamless overall transition to 4K connectivity. PureLink has carefully engineered these innovative products to take full advantage of this technology; their advanced capabilities offer customers a far wider color spectrum and a much higher resolution for the ultimate viewing experience.

The HDG 2.0 test pattern generator and analyzer can be powered either internally by battery or externally via an AC charger. It lists 55 different video resolutions and 31 test patterns (still and motion). It offers High Dynamic Range (HDR) testing and analysis and three selectable HDCP compliancy testing options (2.2, 1.4 or none). It is either button or RS232 controllable and features CEC compliance testing support. The unit is sold in its own portable hard case and is an essential tool in assisting users in validating the capabilities and proper operation of a variety of source devices.

"The HDG 2.0 is something that technicians in the field have consistently expressed a need for," stated Kevin Kang, PureLink's Technical Sales Director. "It is a valuable tool for installers and technicians doing the hard work of testing and verifying the viability of complex modern integrated A/V systems," he added. "With EDID read and write functionality the system reads the data and verifies that the signal strength and resolution are at the desired levels, and with full 18G signal path analysis it is an valuable product that we are excited about providing, in conjunction with all of our other HDMI 2.0 systems," concluded Mr. Kang.
