The PT-RZ670 Series projectors are the next generation in projection technology. These lamp-free WUXGA and WXGA 1-Chip DLP projectors utilize a laser light source and filter-less design for 20,000 hours or more of 24/7/365 continuous and maintenance-free operation. With no lamp to replace, these projectors maintain a much more stable light output over a much longer period of time. Projectors with lamps to replace will go through more frequent cycles of brightness and dimming while the laser technology will remain steady and brilliant during the same period. The laser engine is designed such that if anything were to go wrong with a single laser module, the Panasonic projector would not only remain running but continue operation at up to 93% brightness.

The laser light engine combines unique technology to produce spectacular image quality in not only the primary red/green/blue colors but also in the yellow/magenta/cyan secondary colors delivering an incredible 10,000:1 contrast ratio with near pure white which some competitors struggle to achieve. Panasonic technology appears 20~30% brighter than a traditional lamp-based projector with the PT-RZ670 Series measuring in at 6,500 ANSI Lumens comparing quite well in overall brightness to 8,500 ANSI lumen lamp based 1-Chip DLPs. The improvement lies in the overall color brightness as the full power of the projector is used to make color without giving up some of the power to produce white for brightness.

These projectors also feature an array of professional features for applications where features such as edge blending, pixel mapping, horizontal / vertical / 360° rotational mounting and geometry control are required. The new laser light source combined with an onboard sensor enables for much more precise color and brightness control when blending 2 or more projectors over longer periods of time.

The PT-RZ670 Series also works with all the current 1-Chip DLP lenses available from Panasonic including the ultra short-throw ET-DLE030 lens. These projectors also come with 3 standard digital inputs including HDMI, DVI and Digital link. Digital link is based on the HD Base T spec for delivering 1080p audio and video content over 328' of Cat6e cable while Panasonic adds its control protocol for complete integration with many of the top control and networking products in the industry. These models have VGA and RGB video inputs, as well as a standard 3G HD-SDI input in the PT-RZ670BU WUXGA model.
