Feature-set enhancements provide even greater video wall and multiviewer design flexibility for OEMs and system integrators
Montreal — June 4, 2018 — Matrox Graphics Inc. is pleased to announce a number of significant updates to its industry-leading video wall portfolio that provide OEMs and system integrators with even greater flexibility for video wall and multiviewer design. The Matrox Mura IPX Series capture cards support playback of multiple 4K, high-bandwidth digital content protection (HDCP)-encrypted sources across Mura IPX-powered video walls. Mura IPX Series video wall cards and IP-based multiviewers now also support audio. The latest updates feature expanded streaming protocol support for RTP, MPEG2.TS, and the open-source Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) protocol. Matrox video wall innovations and feature set will be on display at InfoComm 2018, in booth N1322, North Hall, front entrance.
HDCP content from source to display
Mura IPX video wall cards can capture, display, and scale HDCP content from multiple 4K/UHD baseband video sources—such as Blu-ray Disc™ players, set-up boxes, and video game consoles—across Mura IPX-driven video walls.
Audio support for IP and baseband sources
Matrox video wall graphics cards and IP-based multiviewers now feature audio support, where users can conveniently select any audio channel from either an encoded or baseband source.
New streaming protocols—including SRT
In addition to the already-supported RTSP streaming protocol, Mura IPX cards now support SRT, RTP, and MPEG2.TS, allowing them to fit into an even-wider range of IP networks and video wall installations. At the SRT Alliance Pavilion at Matrox booth (N1322), a Mura IPX-based video wall will be featured in a collaborative demonstration alongside products from a number of SRT Alliance members, showcasing high-quality, low-bitrate streaming using the SRT transport protocol.
“The Matrox video wall portfolio has long been the default choice for OEMs and system builders because the recipe is all there: the best density, the best video processing, and the best networking capabilities, all on the smallest footprint,” says Fadhl Al-Bayaty, business development manager, Matrox Graphics Inc. “More than that, however, is our commitment to providing a complete, 360-degree experience to address all gaps and opportunities. These latest developments are a reflection of our efforts to ensure customers and partners fulfill any and all video wall requirements, no matter the size, venue, or environment.”
