April 18, 2011 — Company continues legacy of quality with latest certification and continues its commitment to product and service excellence

BEAVERTON, Oregon — Biamp Systems, a leading provider of innovative, networked media systems that power the world's most sophisticated AV installations, today announced that the company has received its ISO 9001:2008 certification. The scope of the certificate includes Biamp's design and manufacture of audio equipment including voice alarm control and indicating equipment. The certification underscores Biamp's commitment to production of the highest quality, ongoing innovation of product features and delivering customer satisfaction.

Biamp achieves ISO 9001:2008 certification"Quality has always been a part of Biamp's mission, but it's also our passion," said Steve Metzger, President of Biamp Systems. "Obtaining the ISO 9001 certification supports who we are and what we do as a company. I am thrilled that we have earned this certification, which showcases our absolute commitment to quality."

The ISO 9000 family of certifications addresses quality management and is awarded to companies that fulfill customers' quality requirements and meet regulatory requirements, while aiming to enhance customer satisfaction and striving for continual improvement of products' performance. The ISO 9001:2008 certification takes a systematic approach to ensuring a company manufactures products that meet customers' needs and expectations.

The certificate is only one in a growing list of industry benchmarks that Biamp products have achieved. In 2010, Biamp was the first US-based company to meet the strenuous EN 54-16 product certification with its Vocia product. The Vocia design was so meticulous that it was EN 54-16 certified — the certification standard that replaced EN 60849 — ahead of its April 1st effective date.
